The ride to Granada was a painless 4 hours. We had the entire car to ourselves for most of the
ride and I logged some solid quality time with Castlevania for GameBoy Advance.

We got in around 8pm, and after The Tangier Experience(tm), the hotel we stayed at was one of the best
parts of the journey. Here's the view from our hotel terrace, overlooking one of the squares in
Granada (which is an awesome town, btw).

So, we grabbed some dinner (courtsey of Let's Go's suggestion), and stumbled across this
place called Sul where the rum and cokes were cheap and the high school girls are OFF THE HOOK
(that's a joke, btw).

Granada is home to what is supposedly one of the coolest things to see in all of Spain, the Alhambra, a
Muslum palace built in the 1200s. The palace is actually really amazing as it overlooks Granada and the
surrounding area. Here's one of the oldest parts of it...

... and the gardens surrounding the palace...

... and a view from the top of one of the towers...

... and the hand-carved detailing inside the palaces (Seriously, this photo shows a 3 x 5 section of one wall
in one of the five massive palaces. Every wall in the whole place is carved up with this level of detail --
all the stone, all the wood... it's crazy)...

... and the worst photo anyone has ever taken. We asked this girl with this bedazzled shirt to
take a photo of us and get the city in the background. This is what she came up with (I made it a point
not to crop this or anything).
And, that's about it. Later that afternoon I caught a 6 hour train back to Madrid and Mike left for
Barcelona to begin the second half of his 2 month, counter-clockwise tour of Europe.
